Local anchoring
UNISON wants local communities and neighbors of our renewable energy plants to be considered.
There are a number of statutory schemes (Green Pool, RE bonus and the Value Loss and Sales Option Scheme) in connection with the establishment of a RE plant.
Green Pool funds from a renewable energy plant:
- DKK 125,000 per installed MW solar PV system.
- DKK 313,000 per MW wind turbine installed.
In addition to the statutory schemes, UNISON wants to work for further local anchoring and value creation through initiatives such as:
- Annual grants that are transferred to a local pool managed by a local "energy-council" consisting of local representatives and a representative from the energy project.
- Power Purchase Agreements (PPAs) for local businesses that ensure a fixed long-term electricity price, which can help retain jobs and ensure competitiveness and sustainability profile.
- Bhe protection of local companies in connection with the establishment and operation of the RE plant.
